About ArtSpan's Art for City Youth Program:

Art for City Youth (ACY) helps students enjoy art by making and discussing art with professional artists. SF Open Studios artists provide Bessie Carmichael Elementary School students with a classroom lesson on how to look at art, a docent tour of the SF Open Studios Exhibition, and a hands-on art class. The program gives artists experience working with youth and publicizes their ability to work with schools and community groups. For more information on this program, visit http://www.artspan.org/art-city-youth
